In keeping with the stairs theme: what a great idea! I don’t think I’d ever make it out of this subway station.
I imagine this is a relatively pricey installation and would be an expensive one to maintain. Plus, if something like this were everywhere, it would probably lose some of its novelty and, hence, the appeal. Not to mention, the racket from multiple piano stairs would drive people crazy!
Nonetheless, I love the creativity demonstrated, and the fact that it invites people who would otherwise take the escalator to try the more active option. Plus, it’s just plain fun, and what’s not to like about that?
